Investigators may look at your finances during a clearance review. Long-distance commuters. Many residents drive to the Santa Clarita Valley, the San Fernando Valley or LA, or take the Metrolink Antelope Valley Line. A dependable car is a necessity here, and auto lenders weigh your credit heavily. Check that every late payment, repossession or charge-off on your report is accurate, complete and within its reporting period.
Renting while you save. Many Palmdale renters spend a big share of their income on housing. Landlords check credit, so a collection or eviction-related account reported in error can block an application. If an account isn't yours, dispute it, and if it's fraud, report it at IdentityTheft.gov.
